    Combine
    Add demerara sugar and water to a small saucepan over medium heat.

    Dissolve
    Stir until fully dissolved, 3–4 min. Do not boil — demerara scorches easily.

    Cool & bottle
    Remove from heat. Cool completely, then bottle and refrigerate.
