How to make it

5 STEPS · ~5 MIN
  1. 01
    Rim the glass
Run a lime wedge along half the rim of a rocks glass, then dip in flaky salt. Half-rim lets the drinker choose; full-rim assumes they want salt on every sip.
  2. 02
    Combine
Into the small tin: 2 oz blanco tequila, 1 oz fresh lime, 0.75 oz Cointreau.
  3. 03
    Shake
Add ice, cap, shake 8–10 seconds until well chilled.
  4. 04
    Strain over fresh ice
Strain over a single large cube in the salted rocks glass. Avoid pouring the spent shaker ice — it carries shards that dilute too fast.
  5. 05
    Garnish
Lime wheel notched onto the rim, on the side opposite the salt.
