    Chill the glass
    Set a coupe in the freezer or fill with cracked ice while you build.

    Build in the mixing glass
    Add 1 oz rye, 1 oz Campari (or Contrado), 0.75 oz coffee liqueur, 0.5 oz Meletti amaro. Fill with cracked ice.

    Stir to dilute
    Stir 30–40 rotations. This is a spirit-forward stir; aim for ~20% dilution so the bitter, coffee, and amaro layers stay distinct.

    Strain
    Strain into the chilled coupe.

    Garnish
    Express an orange peel over the surface and drop it in.
